YMCA Invites Community to Open House Jan. 18-20

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The YMCA of Youngstown is inviting the community to come and experience both the Central Y in downtown Youngstown and the Davis Family Y in Boardman at no cost from Jan. 18 through 20, as part of its campaign for fitness and good health in 2018.

“The start of 2018 for most people begins with New Year’s resolutions that are geared toward fitness and good health. The YMCA of Youngstown is here to assist everyone in the community in making your resolutions a reality,” said Thomas M. Gacse, president and CEO in a news release.

No guest passes will be required and visitors will be welcome to come to both the Central Y, 17 N.Champion St. downtown, and the Davis Family Y at 45 McClurg Road in Boardman, as many times as they would like during the three-day open house.

Additionally, both Ys will be offering facility tours all day and Safety Around Water presentations, which teach essential water safety skills that help reduce the risk of drowning and to give kids confidence in and around water.

The Y also has reduced membership joining fees to $18 (a savings of up to 87%, fees are regularly $70 to $140 with monthly rates) through Jan. 31.

Visitors can find a full schedule of Open House activities and links to regular Y programs and facility schedules on its website.
