YMCA Promotes Fitness with Reduced Joining Fee
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The YMCA of Youngstown has reduced its membership joining fee to $18 through Jan. 31.
This is a savings of up to 87%, since fees are regularly $70 to $140 with monthly rates.
Membership includes access to both the Central Y downtown and the Davis Family Y in Boardman.
“We want as many people as possible to start off 2018, and truly the rest of their lives, happier and healthier,” said President and CEO Thomas Gacse. “Membership doesn’t just mean access to buildings, it means you’re a part of a cause. You become a partner in our commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, improving health and well-being, and giving back and supporting our neighbors.”
No one seeking to join the Y or participate in its programs, is ever turned away because of inability to pay. The Y’s Annual Campaign is an ongoing fundraising effort with a purpose to make it possible to provide financial assistance to individuals, kids and families on a by-need basis to allow them access to programs, activities and facilities at the Y.
For more information, prospective members can email [email protected], drop by in-person to meet with, or call: Kyle Hillman of the Central Y at 330 742 4795 or Tamra Lucas of the Davis Family Y at 330 480 5652.
