YMCA to Host Fifth Annual 12 Rounds Fundraising Event
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The YMCA of Youngstown will host its fifth annual 12 Rounds fundraising event from 10 a.m. to noon May 20 at DeBartolo Commons at Southern Park Mall.
Participants will take part in a high-energy circuit training event, a special version of Clemate Franklin’s 12 Rounds class at the organization.
12 Rounds is a total body workout and is designed for all fitness levels.
Meri Fetkovich, senior director of health and wellness, coordinated the event.
“We want to make sure that kids have access to important programs to help support them both physically and mentally,” she said. “We know how vital these funds are to kids and teens right here in our community.”
Over the past five years, 375 people have participated and raised more than $70,000. The money was used to send 500 students to after-school, day camp, swim lessons and other YMCA facility activities.
“I’m excited every year to see more and more people come out for this meaningful event,” Franklin said. “It’s all about community and the support for our own, right here in Youngstown.”
