YNDC Receives $1M Grant for Youngstown Home Repairs

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation was awarded a $1 million grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati’s Affordable Housing Program for home repairs.

The funds will be used to complete emergency home repairs on 100 homes in the city, the organization said in a news release Tuesday.

“YNDC is excited to announce this significant investment that will continue ongoing home repair and neighborhood stabilization efforts and leverage recent investment from the city of Youngstown and other funding partners,” said Ian Beniston, YNDC executive director. “We are grateful to the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, Premier Bank, city of Youngstown, The Raymond John Wean Foundation, United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley and other partners for their support and partnership in making this possible.”

The projects will be completed in 2024, the release states.
