YoGo Bikeshare Welcomes Patrick as VP Operations

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – YoGo Bikeshare, Mahoning Valley’s first bicycle-sharing system, welcomes Corey Patrick as its new vice president of operations. Patrick brings nearly a decade of experience to YoGo Bikeshare, including a previous role as director of marketing and communications with the Youngstown Business Incubator.

“We are very excited to have Corey join our team,” says YoGo Bikeshare President, Ronnell Elkins. “He is not only a lifelong area resident who understands our community, but also a strategic thinker who is able to effectively execute business ideas that will help our company achieve its goals.”

Most recently holding the title of Cleveland director at Venture For America before joining YoGo Bikeshare, Patrick spent much of his career at YBI, where he built the marketing department from the ground up. Before taking on his marketing role with the YBI, Patrick was director of the EVOLVE Technology Program, supporting tech-based and tech-enabled startups through consulting and resources across northeastern Ohio.

Patrick holds a B.S. degree from Youngstown State University, where he graduated with a double major in finance and marketing, along with a minor in entrepreneurship, and a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership.

In 2022, the Youngstown State University Williamson College of Business Administration honored Patrick as its Outstanding Young Alumnus for his local community work and philanthropy. In addition to his professional endeavors, Patrick sits on the board for The Walnut Grove, a nonprofit recreational space in Canfield that features an inclusive, special needs accessible playground and natural trails.

Patrick will work to ensure YoGo Bikeshare achieves its organizational objectives. He will also play an intricate role in planning and executing YoGo Bikeshare’s official launch, planned for March.

“This opportunity combines my passion for tech entrepreneurship and small business so I am more than eager to get started,” says Patrick. “I’m coming in at the perfect time to really effect change, and look forward to implementing plans to achieve the organization’s mission and objectives.”
