Youngstown Academy of Excellence Student Named Academic All-Star

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Jamaad Newel, a first-grade student at the Youngstown Academy of Excellence, this week was named an “Academic All-Star” by the Ohio Lottery’s Partners in Education program. The program honors teachers and students who are nominated for their work in the classroom.

The boy’s mother writes, “Jamaad keeps very good grades and likes to help other kids. Jamaad is so smart he could have his own teaching learning show. He likes to do things to keep his mind occupied.” Winning this award recognizes him for his good grades and his “great” attitude, she says.

For being recognized as an Academic All-Star, Jamaad will receive an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery along with a $100 gift card.
