Youngstown Cattle Co. Raises Quality Local Beef
POLAND, Ohio – The Youngstown Cattle Co. celebrated its grand opening Friday with a ribbon-cutting inside its store at 9056 N. Lima Road. The business currently sells flash-frozen beef cuts and snacks from cows raised locally on Kohler Farm, with plans to start selling fresh cuts May 1.
Owner George Gabriel says the beef raised for the store makes for a high-quality product.
“We have nothing but high-grade Black Angus steers,” Gabriel said. “They’re processed in one of two processing plants, one west of Salem and the other in Mercer, Pa.”
