Youngstown City Schools to Host Bus Driver Hiring Event

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown City School District will host a bus driver hiring event at 10 a.m. Feb. 17 to address the bus driver shortage that has impacted school districts nationwide. 

The event will be held at Choffin Career & Technical Center, 200 E. Wood St. 

YCSD offers wages of $24 per hour and benefits packages, including medical, a news release states. 

Candidates must be age 21 or older and pass pre-employment screens and drug tests. For those who still need to obtain a commercial driver’s license, the school district offers a 30-day intensive program to help earn the license.
