Youngstown Curfew to Begin at 7 p.m. Monday
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Mayor Jamael Tito Brown has declared another civil emergency and curfew for the city, running from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
“The need for this order arises from destruction and violence in the city of Youngstown on May 31, 2020,” he wrote in an emergency order issued at 2:05 p.m. Monday.
The curfew applies to public spaces. Exempt from the order are law enforcement, fire and medical personnel, news media and other personnel exempted by the city and state.
People traveling to and from work or their homes, seeking medical care, fleeing dangerous circumstances or experiencing homelessness are also exempt.
