Youngstown Foundation Awards Meridian HealthCare $20,000
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Youngstown Foundation has awarded a $20,000 grant to Meridian HealthCare to upgrade security at 11 Meridian sites, Larry Moliterno, CEO of Meridian, announced Wednesday.
Among these sites are residential, two-year transitional and permanent housing buildings. Clients include individuals in recovery from drug or alcohol addiction, individuals and families who have been homeless, homeless veterans, adults suffering from chronic mental illness, individuals with HIV/AIDS and their families, and low-income older people.
The security upgrade will involve installing new digital network hardware and phasing out the analog and coaxial cable system over five years. The replacement equipment will improve the quality of visible resolution and provide agency directors the ability to view their respective departments in real time.
The $20,000 will cover the initial year of what is projected to be a five-year project.
