Youngstown Mayor Pushes Youths to Fight Through Adversity
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown Mayor Jamael Tito Brown spoke to students at Choffin Career & Technical Center and encouraged them to make good decisions that can impact their community in a positive way.
Choffin Career & Technical Center is celebrating the contributions and achievements of African Americans for Black History Month as well as raising awareness about the value of education throughout February.
“When they look at me, they may realize that I don’t have to go through adversity, but I want to let them know that some of the adversities that they’ll face, I’ve faced,” Brown says. “I just want to give them a little glimmer of hope that tomorrow is a brighter day for them.”
