Youngstown Mount Carmel Festival Returns This Week
YOUNGSTOWN – The annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival will open Thursday and run through Sunday.
Now in its 22nd year, the festival takes place on the parish grounds on Via Mount Carmel, on the edge of downtown Youngstown. Admission is $5.
Free parking is available at downtown lots, with a free shuttle service to the festival grounds.
A procession with the Lowellville Band will take place at noon Sunday, immediately after 11 a.m. Mass.
As always, the festival will feature a homemade wine contest, a children’s area, and a giant silent auction in the church hall. The wine contest and tasting will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday in the lower church hall. There is a $10 per wine entry fee; wines are to be dropped off Saturday between 1 and 4 p.m. in the lower church hall.
There will also be a morra tournament, many food and craft vendors and a grand raffle.
There will be nonstop entertainment on the indoor stage and in the tent on the festival ground. Here is the schedule:
