Youngstown Rotary Offers $40K in Grants to Nonprofits
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Nonprofit organizations that work to impact the city can take advantage of $40,000 in grant monies from the Youngstown Rotary Foundation.
The Community Grant Program provides grant opportunities in two categories to nonprofits focusing on one or more of six areas as defined by Rotary International. Focuses include, peace and conflict prevention/resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, economic and community development.
A $20,000 Community Impact Grant for Operational Support will be awarded to one nonprofit to support its mission, rather than specific projects or programs. The grant provides working capital for daily operations, enabling the recipient to “build a strong and sustainable infrastructure to provide programs and services that will have the greatest impact,” according to a press release.
In addition, a series of Community Program/Project Grants of $2,500 to $7,500 each will support projects or programs that will make a significant, positive difference in the Youngstown community.
