Youngstown Seeks Feedback on Grant Application
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The city’s Community Development Division is seeking feedback from residents and business owners on its application for a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development grant.
The Community Development Division plans to submit an application for funding through HUD’s Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing program, which will provide $85 million in grants for communities across the country to identify and remove barriers to affordable housing production and preservation.
“The purpose of this grant aligns closely with the Community Development Division’s efforts to eliminate barriers to housing security, particularly for low- to moderate-income families,” a news release from the city states. “As dictated by the grant requirements, eligible activities must identify and seek to remove one or more barriers to affordable housing production and preservation.”
An online public hearing on the grant application will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday. To join via Zoom, click HERE. The meeting ID is 892 4384 3735; the passcode is 656221.
