YSU ACE Announces 2024 Scholarship Winners

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University’s Association of Classified Employees has announced the two recipients for its 2024 scholarship.

Clair Reed, an exercise science major from Edinboro, Pa., and Morganne Lewis, a criminal justice graduate student from Girard, Ohio, are this year’s awardees. 

Reed was nominated by Shannon Pope from the Resch Academic Success Center. Lewis was nominated by Kim Jenkins from the YSU Police Academy.

The ACE scholarship was established in 2003 as an endowed scholarship invested through the YSU Foundation for YSU student employees who work with ACE union members.

Students must have completed 30 semester hours, maintain a 3.0 GPA and have a financial need. In addition to the application, the student must submit an essay on the value of their student employment and a recommendation letter from an ACE member.

The ACE Scholarship Committee includes Cassie Nespor, Tatiana O’Dell, Della Elia, Stephanie Pavlovich and RosaMaria Vega.
