YSU Alumni Magazine Wins Silver Award
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University’s alumni magazine, YSU Magazine has earned the Silver Award at the Annual Collegiate Advertising Awards for the fourth time in five years.
Among the judging criteria for the award are creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. The Silver Award puts YSU Magazine in the top 12% of university magazines worldwide.
“YSU Magazine is produced and designed entirely in-house, so this award speaks volumes about the incredibly talented people here at YSU who put it together,” said editor Mollie Hartup in a release.
Youngstown State’s Office of Marketing and Communications produce the magazine. It is distributed twice per year to roughly 97,000 alumni and supporters across the country.
The most recent issue, published last fall, featured alumnus and jazz trumpeter Sean Jones in celebration of the Dana School of Music’s 150th anniversary.
