YSU Athletics, Burgan Renew Partnership

CANFIELD, Ohio – Burgan Real Estate has renewed its partnership with Youngstown State University athletics.

The Boardman real estate firm was first named partner in 2017. Over the course of the partnership, Burgan has offered the Burgan Mortgage Mania Challenge Sweepstakes, offering fans the chance to hit three shots to win $12,000 at men’s and women’s basketball games, and the YSU Tailgate Sweepstakes, which last year provided the winner with a hospitality tent for tailgating before the homecoming football game, 50 tickets and a fully catered party.

“The relationship has grown into something bigger than we both thought was possible when we shook hands two years ago,” said Patrick Burgan, president and co-owner, in a statement. “We want to make it even better as we look towards what the future holds for our business and the athletic department at YSU.”

Burgan and fellow co-owner Sue Filipovich both earned their undergraduate degrees from YSU.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Sue and Patrick and we look forward to continuing our relationship for years to come, as they continue to be two of YSU’s biggest advocates throughout the year,” said Chris Sumner, assistant athletic director for YSU.
