YSU Brings Home Several Best-Of Recognitions

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University has been named to several best-of lists, including those examining master’s in economics programs, sports management and affordable schools.

The Sales Education Foundation’s Annual magazine ranked YSU on its Top Universities for Professional Sales Education list, noting the Williamson College of Business Administration’s Professional Sales Center and Sales Program. Among the center’s events is a “live” sales contest with Kent State University and Cleveland State University. 

The Sports Management Degree Guide ranked Youngstown State’s sports communication program as the most affordable in the country, beating out Arizona State University. Also in the top 20 are Clemson University and Oklahoma State University.

The Master’s Program Guide ranked YSU’s master’s in economics as the No. 4 online program based on earnings potential, affordability, student satisfaction and selectivity. YSU was ranked behind only Purdue University, University of North Dakota and University of Missouri.

Affordable Schools ranked Youngstown State’s mechanical engineering program ninth on its Best and Affordable ME Degree programs list and the university geography program to the top 40 Best and Affordable Geography Degree programs. 

Great Value Colleges ranked YSU among its top 25 most affordable baccalaureates in astronomy. The guide also ranked the bachelor’s in philosophy No. 26 in the country.

Finally, Intelligent.com ranked YSU’s master’s programs in economics, health services, criminal justice, health-care administration and business administration among its Top Degree Programs nationwide. The assessment considers curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation and post-graduate employment.
