YSU Foundation Will Continue to Work with YSU
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown State University Foundation posted a statement Thursday to its social media accounts after Bill Johnson, the new YSU president, attended his first foundation meeting.
The meeting was Monday, Johnson’s first day on the job, and as with all regular board meetings, the university president is invited to deliver a report to the foundation.
“We were pleased that on his first day of office, President Johnson accepted our invitation and made time in his schedule to understand the importance of the relationship between the Foundation and YSU in its support of YSU students,” the post said.
It says the foundation recognizes the importance of working “collaboratively alongside Youngstown State University as we have done and will continue to do in our capacity,” it continues.
It says the foundation is focused on moving forward with the new administration to support growth and enrollment at YSU.
“Our priority has been and will always be to advance our mission as an independent, nonprofit organization that supports student scholarships, student development and career opportunities,” it concludes.
