YSU Named to Several ‘Best Of’ Lists

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University has been named to five year-end “best of” lists, including affordable online colleges in Ohio and master’s programs.

OnlineMasters.com placed several YSU programs, including business administration, health administration, economics, health services and criminal justice, on its best of lists to end the school year. In particular, the master’s of business administration ranked 44th nationally, behind only two other Ohio programs: Cleveland State University (No. 14) and Walsh University (No. 26).

OnlineColleges.com ranked YSU as the No.9 online school in the state based on the number of available online programs, the average amount of financial aid awarded to students and the ratio of on-campus to online students. Kent State University’s main campus took the top spot on the list.

Value College placed Youngstown State at No. 14 in the country – and top in Ohio – for lowest out-of-state tuition colleges. “Your place in the VC Best Value ranking tells students that they can trust your program to provide not only an education, but an entry to a rewarding career,” said Value College’s media manager, Rhonda Corey.

ComputerTrainingSchools.com placed YSU’s computer science and information technology programs as No. 2 in the state based on data including tuition, graduation rate and the number of technology-related programs available to students.

Finally, NursingProcess.org named Youngstown State’s RN or BSN program No. 7 in the state based on National Council Licensure Examination pass rates, cost, student-to-faculty ratios and graduation rates.
