YSU Physical Therapy Profs Tour Chinese Centers

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Two Youngstown State University physical therapy professors presented at regional hospital seminars in China and toured a physical rehabilitation center over the summer.

Nancy Landgraff, professor and chairwoman of the department of physical therapy, and professor Weiqing Ge presented at Handan Central Hospital and First Affiliated Hospital of Xian Jaiotong University.

At Handan, the two spent an afternoon working with patients and teaching rehabilitation staff. They were also presented with the honorary title of president by the Handan Alliance of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Landgraff and Ge visited Deng Jingyuan Center for Community Rehabilitation to observe the center’s clinic structure and treatments and to discuss care with theraphists.

Afterward, they visited and toured SinoRehab in Beijing, which specializes in orthopedic and sports rehab, to start the process of establishing an international clinical contract for YSU’s physical therapy students.
