YSU Students Dig into Data Mining
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – In the data mine corporate partners course at Youngstown State University, students work with companies that are trying to solve problems using data.
The company provides the data, and YSU provides the students. Companies also benefit by being exposed to young talent. That may lead to internships for students.
“Getting this kind of experience is really valuable to help them in whatever career path they choose later,” says Dr. Jay Kerns, professor of mathematics and statistics at YSU.
