YSU Students to Participate in Dare to Care Day
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – More than 60 students at Youngstown State University will volunteer to work with 10 area nonprofit organizations Friday as part of Dare to Care Day, organized by the Williamson College of Business Administration.
Registration and breakfast for volunteers will take place from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Kelly Wilkinson, dean of the Williamson College of Business Administration, will welcome everyone at 8:30 a.m., and projects will begin at 9 a.m. at one of 10 participating organizations: Beatitude House Ministries, Habitat for Humanity – ReStore, Habitat for Humanity – The HUB, OCCHA, Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology, Potential Development Elementary/Middle School, Rich Center for Autism, Smarts, United Returning Citizens and YMCA Central Branch.
Students will complete projects, including the setup and cleanup of sites, outdoor cleanup (weather permitting), organizing offices and assembling exhibits, organizing food pantries and working with students.
