YSU to Hold Five Accounting Seminars
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Williamson College of Business Administration and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants will host five continuing education seminars through Nov. 16.
The first seminar, Youngstown CPE Day, takes place May 9 in Williamson Hall. The full-day conference provides certified public accountants, enrolled agents and tax preparers with concurrent sessions that focus on tax law and tax regulations; accounting and auditing topics; ethics and management/technology.

Eight hours of CPE [continuing professional education] for Ohio and Pennsylvania along with eight hours of continuing education by the IRS for enrolled agents and tax preparers are available by attending Youngstown CPE Day.
The other four seminars include the Youngstown Institute on Taxation on June 15; Youngstown Accounting & Auditing Update on Aug. 10; Youngstown Governmental & Not-for-Profit Update on Sept. 28; and Youngstown Annual Tax Update on Nov. 16.

Youngstown Institute on Taxation — Register online. This seminar is designed for practicing accountants, enrolled agents, and tax preparers who want to stay current and knowledgeable on tax regulations and laws. An update on estate and gift tax planning, current rulings, and tax regulations is offered for attorneys.
Youngstown Accounting and Auditing Update — Register online. This session covers new developments in accounting and auditing standards including advice on compliance with professional regulations. The course covers relevant pronouncements, exposure drafts and other guidance recently issued in the accounting, auditing, review, and compilation arenas.
Youngstown Governmental & Not-for-Profit Update— Register online. This conference informs financial executives in governmental and nonprofit organizations as well as public and accounting practitioners about the latest accounting and auditing developments affecting governments and nonprofits. In addition, updates will be offered on Yellow Book requirements.
Youngstown Annual Tax Update — Register online. This seminar is for any tax advisor. This fast-paced one-day course covers the latest developments in federation taxation, with emphasis on real world implications. Emphasis on current issues, planning, and strategy keeps participants interested all day.
