YSU Tutor Training Program Receives Certification

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University’s Resch Academic Success Center has received certification as a Level One certified tutor training program by the College Reading and Learning Association.

CRLA has been a leader in learning assistance, reading and academic support programs for more than 30 years, with almost 1,300 members and more than 2,000 certified training programs worldwide.

The ASC has worked to develop a tutor training program that meets CRLA’s standards, successfully completing the International Tutor Training Program Certification peer review process. 

Achieving certification means the ASC has met CRLA’s standards for tutor selection, training, direct service and evaluation as an integral part of the overall tutoring program.
