YSU’s Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter Receives Recognition
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University’s Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter has earned the Highest Honors Chapter recognition.
Qualifying for the recognition is indicative of an institution that prioritizes academic excellence and chapter officers dedicated to Beta Gamma Sigma’s prominence on campus.
Founded as a national organization in 1913, BGS is a business honorary society reserved exclusively for schools accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. BGS members are found in all 50 states and more than 190 countries around the world.
Chapters recognized for Highest Honor status are eligible to receive $500 from BGS headquarters, with a guarantee by the residing school to match the funds, and are awarded to a BGS student of their choosing.
To be eligible for membership, students must be registered in business administration programs and be candidates for a baccalaureate or MBA degree. Students ranking in the top 10 percent of sophomore, junior or senior classes, or the top 20 percent of the master’s program, are eligible for membership.
