YSUscape Hosts ‘Taste of Youngstown’ Saturday
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The second “Taste of Youngstown” event hosted by YSUscape, a student organization at Youngstown State University, takes place Saturday night at Nove Gatto at Erie Terminal Place on West Commerce Street.
All funds raised at the event will go toward future YSUscape projects.
The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m.
Food will be served from local establishments including Cassese’s MVR, Christopher’s Downtown, Friends Specialty, Avalon Downtown, Martini Brothers Burger Bar, One Hot Cookie, Suzie’s Dogs & Drafts, V2 Wine Bar Trattoria, Kravitz Deli, Rust Belt Brewing Co. Tap House, and Yo. Donut Company, organizers said.
The first Taste of Youngstown was hosted last summer and provided YSUscape with enough funding to complete the Elm & Madison Mural project, a public art installation on a vacant building that was completed by students for the purpose of beautifying a property near student housing on the YSU campus.
Tickets for this year’s event, which takes place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., cost $5 for students and $10 for adults. Items to be raffled off include donations from local restaurants, local artists, and YSU athletics tickets.
