YWCA Mahoning Valley Project Increases Affordable Housing in Youngstown
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – YWCA of Mahoning Valley held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the renovations being done on the building at 3 Illinois Ave.
Leah Merritt, president and CEO of YWCA Mahoning Valley, said the renovations will fill an important need for more affordable housing options in the community on the North Side of Youngstown, near Youngstown State University and Wick Park.
“We’re hoping that this will be finished by late summer,” Merritt says. “We hope to be able to start moving people in by the last quarter of the year.”
