John Zehentbauer is the newly appointed superintendent of the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center. His appointment was announced in late July by the school’s Governing Board. “John is unwavering in his passion and commitment to MCCTC’s mission and goals of educating high school and adult students,” says attorney Kathi McNabb Welsh, president of the board. Zehentbauer joined the school’s faculty in 1991 and taught aviation maintenance technology for eight years. He has served as career technical supervisor and most recently as assistant superintendent. “Career technical education is at the forefront of education right now and I am honored to not only lead the school but also to provide guidance for workforce development in the area,” he says.
