Zoetic Global Sets July 24 Ribbon Cutting for Youngstown Plant

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Zoetic Global announced plans Thursday to celebrate the opening of its downtown Youngstown plant July 24.

In addition to the ribbon cutting ceremony in the afternoon, Zoetic Global will host an event in the morning to showcase its portfolio of technologies and announce partnerships, according to a news release.

The plant currently has about six employees providing various startup functions, Ashleigh Jacubec, Zoetic’s vice president for global marketing, said in an email.

In May 2023, Zoetic’s chief global business development officer, Tim Ryan, said Zoetic had leased 28,000 square feet of space at 360 E. Federal St. for a refrigerant manufacturing plant.

Ryan, who previously represented portions of Mahoning and Trumbull counties for 20 years as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, is involved with both the Youngstown plant, which handles Zoetic’s entire global refrigerant supply, and the carbon trading headquarters in Columbus.

“Youngstown has the skilled workforce essential to our success and serves as an ideal hub for distributing our products across North America and beyond. It’s a great testament to our community that a company from Northeast Ohio is at the forefront of global innovation and technology,” he said in the news release.

The plant represents “a significant milestone in Zoetic’s mission to provide clean, reliable energy to the local community and beyond,” according to the release.  Companies working with Zoetic “will realize energy reduction of up to 30% and share in carbon credits supported by precise energy and emissions reduction data,” the release continued.

Refrigerant production will begin by Sept. 1, Jacubec said.

The company was awarded a $20,000 façade improvement grant by the city in November.

Events earlier in the day, which will take place at The Lake Club in Poland, will include a presentation on Zoetic’s future technology and sustainability plans, official signings and announcements of partnerships with Trident Global Holdings to enter the “rare earth” marketplace, and with Verdana Carbon Credits; and presentations by Theodore (Ted) Roosevelt IV, managing director in investment banking at Barclays and chairman of the firm’s clean tech initiative, and Zoetic Global CEO Avery Hong.
