Inspiring Minds Fundraising Gala Set for April 9

WARREN, Ohio – Inspiring Minds will host its 10th Annual Fundraising Gala at St. Demetrios Community Center April 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. to celebrate the organization’s decade of work in the Mahoning Valley.

The dinner will feature dishes inspired by the destinations of student trips over the past decade, including New York, Puerto Rico and Atlanta.

“In 10 years, we have been able to accomplish so much,” said Inspiring Minds founder and CEO Deryck Toles in statement. “We’ve adopted a great mission, developed successful programs and garnered generous community support to make a difference in the lives of thousands of local youth, but there’s so much more we can do.”

Over the 10 years of its existence, Inspiring Minds has worked with more than 2,000 students, achieving a 100% high school graduation rate for enrolled students. All students have enrolled in college or joined the armed forces. Students have also visited 70 cities in 15 states, toured 70 colleges and visited 60 companies.

“Celebrating our 10th Gala is an amazing reminder of how hard we’ve worked and how far we’ve come,” Toles said. “Every volunteer, every mentor, every dollar helps our program continue changing lives for the better.”

More information, including tickets and sponsorship opportunities, are available at IMGala.org. The deadline for sponsorship is March 25.
