POLAND, Ohio – Put on a little black dress and bring a copy of your favorite book to swap with others at the “Ladies in Little Black Dresses for Literacy” fundraising event.

The Literary Society of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County is taking reservations for the fundraiser at 6 p.m. May 11 at the Lake Club, 1140 Paulin Road.

Tickets are $40, which includes appetizers and one glass of wine.

The evening will also include music, raffles, a cash bar and an informal fashion show. Boutiques E. J. Hannah, Suzanne’s and ivory & birch will sell accessories.

The event benefits the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County’s Literary Society Fund and the Martha Muransky Children’s Fund. A portion of proceeds from the participating boutiques will benefit these funds as well. Donations of gently used and new children’s books will be accepted at the event.

For information and reservations, contact Deborah Liptak at 330 740 6086.
