100 Women Who Care Donates to Institute

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Mahoning Valley chapter of 100 Women Who Care has selected the Mahoning Valley Lifelong Learning Institute as the recipient of its quarterly donation.

The institute at Park Vista of Youngstown’s Gelhaar Center offers 20 educational courses to seniors in the area in four areas: religion and spirituality, arts and culture, history and political science, and wellness and rehabilitation.

100 Women Who Care meets four times a year, when members nominatesa local charity. After a vote to determine the recipient, each member donates $100 to the organization. The group’s most recent meeting was held at Niccolini’s Ristorante II in Boardman.

In addition to its donations, 100 Women Who Care also encouraged donations to the institute at DonateNow.NetworkForGood.org.

The group’s next meeting will be held Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. A location has not yet been determined. To join the group, visit its Facebook page or email [email protected].
