100 Women Who Care Give Funds to Beatitude House

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Mahoning Valley Chapter of 100 Women Who Care has selected the Beatitude House in Youngstown as the recipient of its donation at its first meeting of 2016.

The Beatitude House provides transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, and educational opportunities. It was established to help women and children break the cycle of poverty and violence and build lives of stability and hope.

The Mahoning Valley Chapter of 100 Women Who Care is a group of local women who meet four times a year to raise money for local charities.  Each member can nominate a local charity and three charities are selected from the nominees. The members who nominated the selected charities then speak to the group about the charity. One charity is then selected to receive a $100 donation from each member.

The 100 Women Who Care Mahoning Valley Chapter will hold its next meeting at 6 p.m. June 7 at Niccolini’s Ristorante in Boardman. To join, visit its Facebook page or contact the founding members via email at [email protected].
