$10K Gift Helps Opera Western Reserve’s ‘Macbeth’
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Frank and Pearl Gelbman Charitable Trust has donated $10,000 to Opera Western Reserve as part of its three-year commitment to the music organization.
The funds will support this year’s production of William Shakespeare’s classic “Macbeth,” held Nov. 15 at Stambaugh Auditorium.
Beginning in July, Opera Western Reserve will host a five-event Murder, Mayhem & Macbeth series highlighting the theatrical, musical and literary themes of “Macbeth,” as well as local venues.
The Glebman Charitable Trust is the largest financial supporter of Opera Western Reserve. It is administered by Huntington Bank.
For more information on the opera’s performance of “Macbeth” or on the Murder, Mayhem & Macbeth festival, contact Opera Western Reserve at 330 480 0693.
On May 17, Opera Western Reserve will honor David Vosburgh, the group’s production director for 15 years, at the third annual Musical Cabaret. Featuring singers from past productions, the event is a fundraiser for Opera Western Reserve. Tickets are $80 each and are available at the Stambaugh Auditorium box office or by calling 330 259 0555.
