3 Area Firms Makes Forbes’ Accounting Best-of List
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Three accounting firms with a regional presence have made it onto Forbes’ annual best-of list for the industry: HBK CPAs & Consultants, Packer Thomas and Cohen & Co.
The annual list pairs Forbes and market research firm Statista to create a list of the most recommended firms for tax and accounting services in the country. This year’s list identified 278 firms; 250 were recommended for tax services and 200 for accounting, with 172 being recognized for both.
Packer Thomas, with offices in Canfield and New Castle, Pa., was founded in 1923 and has 55 employees serving domestic and international clients.
“We have a remarkable team of professionals and an equally remarkable base of clients, and we are humbled to be recognized, nationally, for the quality of our work and the service we provide to our clients,” said principal Brian Commons in a statement. “Although we conduct business throughout the United States and internationally, we are grateful to have our operations based in the great communities of eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania.”
This year’s list identified 278 firms; 250 were recommended for tax services and 200 for accounting. In addition, 172 companies were recommended for both, an honor which all three area firms received.
“Forbes’ perspective on what a prospective client should look for in an accounting firm mirrors HBK and how we have developed our services over the years,” said HBK’s CEO, Christopher M. Allegretti. “Companies benefit most from the insight and understanding of a firm steeped in experience and both technically capable and industry savvy. Moreover, we’re delighted to be so highly and broadly recommended by our clients and other industry professionals.”
Based in Cleveland and with offices in nine other cities including Youngstown, Cohen & Co. also made the list.
