898 Wins Award for ‘Kids Say the Smartest Things’ Campaign

CANFIELD, Ohio – 898 Marketing was honored at the Akron-Canton American Advertising Awards for its “Kids Say the Smartest Things” campaign. It was one of just 24 entries to earn the Gold Award and the only one from the Youngstown area.

The PSA campaign was created in partnership with Mahoning County Public Health to encourage safety measures against the coronavirus pandemic during the holidays. In it, local kids answer questions and give their thoughts on the pandemic.

“The work was a unique way to stand out at a time when everyone was helping to make our holidays safer. The children in the creative, who are the real stars, offered a refreshing, simple and lighthearted way to remind us all of how we must always think of how what we do impacts the safety and happiness of others,” said 898 Marketing’s president and CEO, Jeff Ryznar.

“While this recognition is a testament to the work of our team, the real reward is the impact it had in our community, helping to remind people how they can do their part to save lives during this pandemic by the future generations who will one day lead us,” he continued.
