ModWash Purchases Boardman Property for $975,000
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Construction on the area’s newest car wash location is set to begin this spring for a stated opening in October.
ModWash will set up shop at 750 Boardman Poland Road, marking the first ModWash to open in Youngstown, and the second in Ohio, according to a company release.
Records from the Mahoning County Auditor website show Hutton Boardman Poland OH ST LLC closed on the property on March 26 for $975,000 from Mayo Dr. John L Trustee.
According to the company release, the Tennessee-based Hutton is a commercial real estate, development and investment company with plans to open seven other ModWash locations throughout Ohio this year.
“ModWash has been growing tremendously this year, and we can’t wait for our brand to become a staple throughout Ohio,” said Karen Hutton, founder of Hutton, and founder and owner of ModWash. “We look forward to providing Youngstown and its surrounding communities a customer experience that is memorable and exceeds expectations. We are committed to creating a positive ripple effect through our customer services, growing our team to be leaders and fundraising to positively impact the community. We cannot wait to make lasting relationships that are impactful and connect us with one another throughout the community.”
Earlier in March, Hutton Youngstown Belmont OH ST LLC purchased the former West Fork Roadhouse at 3850 Belmont Ave. in Liberty Township for $500,000 from VT Larney Ltd., a real estate entity affiliated with Alan Friedkin, associate broker at Friedkin Commercial Group.
At the time, Friedkin said was ModWash under contract and is going to close soon on the Austintown Skate Zone building, located at 5420 Mahoning Ave.
The ModWash website confirms three locations “coming soon” to the area at Mahoning Avenue, Belmont Avenue and Boardman-Poland Road.
ModWash features the “newest fully automated bug prep” for all washes, as well as free vacuums, air tools, automatic mat cleaners, window cleaner, microfiber towels and more, according to the release. ModMemberships allow customers to enjoy unlimited washes.
The company’s equipment is eco-friendly, the release states, and captures and properly disposes of contaminants from the washing process.
