ESC Event Explores Careers in Cosmetology
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The next Virtual Career Exploration event hosted by the ESC of Eastern Ohio will focus on careers in cosmetology and barbering.
Scheduled for 10 a.m. on May 5, the event features a presentation by Lisa Argiro, cosmetology instructor at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center. Argiro will discuss some of the career options in cosmetology and barbering and will highlight the benefits of the cosmetology program at MCCTC.
Such career paths include specialties in hair care, skin care, nail care and barbering.
The event will also feature live demonstrations by current MCCTC students. At MCCTC, cosmetology students learn about the art, science and application of beauty treatments. The event will also cover what training is required to become a licensed cosmetologist and barber.
