Production Phase Begins at Ultium Cells
WARREN, Ohio — Throughout the month of August, Ultium Cells LLC has been producing and shipping battery cells from its Lordstown plant, According to Tom Gallagher, vice president of operations.
Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted were given a tour of the battery plant.
“I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a more high tech automated process than what we just had the opportunity to witness,” said Husted. “I think our tour; every bit of it lived up to what we’d hoped to see here.”
