New Ramps, Fishing Pier Improve Access to Pymatuning Lake
ANDOVER, Ohio – Boaters and anglers now have new and improved access to Pymatuning Lake at Pymatuning State Park.
A $1 million project by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Parks and Watercraft replaced the New Bowers and Birches boat ramps and added an ADA-accessible fishing pier.
Also, the adjacent seawalls were replaced, new floats and concrete abutments were installed and rock channel protection was added at the bottom of each new ramp.
“These changes along the coast of Pymatuning State Park make it easier for visitors to enjoy the lake,” ODNR Director Mary Mertz said. “This continues our goal to connect Ohioans with all the opportunities the outdoors has to offer.”
