Fundraiser Moves Dylan’s House Closer to Goal
CANFIELD, Ohio – An April fundraiser for Dylan’s House, a nonprofit organization supporting families and individuals affected by autism, raised $150,000.
“We are truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our community,” said Amy Shope, vice president and host of the “Welcome to Dylan’s House” podcast. “The funds raised at Sunday Funday will have a profound impact on our ability to support individuals with autism and their families. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to this success.”
More than 600 people attended the recent event hosted at Penguin City Brewing, and the money raised brings the organization closer to its 2024 goal of acquiring homes for adults with autism and supporting caregivers in the community.
The Sunday Funday event included activities, live entertainment and food, all in support of a worthy cause.
The Mahoning County commissioners and Citizens Bank were among the sponsors and supporters of the event.
