Action to Host Annual Banquet in March
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods (Action) will host its 21st annual banquet March 12 at Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
The event will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m., followed by the program at 6 p.m. The guest speaker is Pastor John Paul Robles of Sacred Commons. He is also the director of the Greater Youngstown Community Dialogue on Racism.
The event will feature dinner, an auction and a ceremony to honor members of the community who have shown dedication to empowering action.
The honorees include:
- Jaladah Aslam, Voter Education.
- Dionne Dowdy, Humanitarian Award.
- Patsy Payiavalis, Community Award.
- Larry Moliterno, Institution Award.
- Lola Simmons, Trailblazer Award.
- Duane Piccirilli, Path Finder Award.
