Adult Day Services at Heritage Manor Expands Respite Care

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Adult Day Services at Heritage Manor is now offering weekend and evening respite care for adults age 60 and older.

Respite care is now available two weekends and two evenings monthly for residents of Mahoning and Trumbull counties. Previously, care was available only during the day Monday through Friday.

Adult Day Services at Heritage Manor, located at 517 Gypsy Lane, provides a program of activities in a professional care setting for individuals who require supervised care during the day, or those who are isolated and lonely. It’s for homebound adults in need of socialization, adults who are not safe at home alone while a caregiver is at work or running errands and adults whose caregiver is in need of respite. It includes on-site nursing, is wheelchair-accessible and is Veterans Administration approved.

Funding for the program was provided by the Mahoning County commissioners through Direction Home of Eastern Ohio.
