Akron Children’s Opens Pediatrics Practice in Campbell

CAMPBELL, Ohio – Akron Children’s Hospital opened a new practice Monday to provide pediatric primary care to the city and surrounding communities.

The new primary care office is located inside the Community Literacy Workforce and Cultural Center, 434 Struthers-Coitsville Road. It’s the 40th office in the Akron Children’s Pediatrics network.

Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Providers Dr. Aaron Sweeney and certified nurse practitioners Laurie McGlynn, Terri McCaughtry and Marie Lingenfelter offer wellness checkups, immunizations, treatment for illness and chronic disease management.

“We’re excited to bring pediatric primary care closer to home for families in and around Campbell,” said Brian Dinger, Akron Children’s vice president of primary care. “In the fall, we will expand the Campbell office by offering Saturday morning hours for sick child care and well visits. Also in the fall, we will have a mental health therapist available for patients on Mondays.”
