American Legion Unit Donates $1K for Columbiana Playground
COLUMBIANA, Ohio – The American Legion Unit 290 Auxiliary has donated $1,000 toward the new playground project at Firestone Park.
The donation will go directly toward the construction and maintenance of a state-of-the-art, inclusive playground that will replace Funland, which was built by volunteers and community members in 1995.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the American Legion Unit 290 Auxiliary for their generosity and commitment to our community,” said Michaela Good, president of Columbiana Project Playground, a grassroots initiative aimed at constructing the playground.
“Their donation brings us one step closer to our vision of a playground that will inspire creativity, promote physical activity and foster social connections among our residents,” Good said.
