WARREN – Cockeye BBQ & Creamery has been around only since 2015. But the family-run business is laying the groundwork for the next generation.
The husband-wife team of Erik and Stacey Hoover started the business at 1805 Parkman Road in Warren when their sons were still in high school.
Their oldest son, Max, opened Cockeye Creamery in 2019 at the same site. Ben, their youngest son, recently graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and has returned home to work at Cockeye.
The barbecue and ice cream restaurant recently completed a $250,000 expansion at the business.
