CANFIELD, Ohio — The Automotive Technology program at Mahoning County Career & Technical Center is a part of the school’s Machine Academy.
In Auto Tech training, students get a hands-on learning experience studying the basic automotive systems and maintenance of vehicles. They study areas in an introduction to the automotive industry, preventive maintenance, brakes, steering and suspension, and engine repair.
The majority of students in this program will be job-ready and working in the field during their senior year while also earning more than 12 points in industry credentials. This program has established partnerships with many local dealerships and auto repair businesses in the area, ensuring graduates have jobs waiting for them after they graduate.
