Women in Business: Shelley Bergman

Shelley Bergman started her banking career 40-plus years ago serving in several roles at various Columbiana County banks, climbing from bookkeeping into customer service roles including teller, head teller, relationship banker, investment sales and branch manager. Other than a short break to raise three children and working at an attorney’s office, she eventually joined Consumers National Bank as the Salem Branch Relationship Manager in 2018.

In addition to serving her clients at the bank, Shelley is devoted to her community and volunteers in many ways. She is a board member of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, 4-H and United Local Schools Hall of Fame. Shelley also helped form the Kim and Ashley Bergman Memorial Fund in memory of her late husband and daughter and manages a 5K Run and other fund raisers to support the fund. For Shelley, it’s all about making a difference in the community. Whether educating clients about banking or holding a fundraiser at her branch to raise funds for the Salem Police K-9 Unit, she is committed to Salem.
