BBB to Present Torch Awards June 5

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Better Business Bureau of the Mahoning Valley will present the 2018 Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust June 5 in a ceremony at The Lake Club.

The Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust will be presented to Joe Dickey Electric, R.T. Vernal Paving & Excavating, White House Fruit Farm and Hively Construction Co.

The Torch Award for Nonprofit Excellence will be given to United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, while the Torch Award for Civic Leadership will be presented to Sister Patricia McNicholas of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown. BBB will also announce the winners of the the Ethics & Integrity Scholarship.

The awards are supported by the BBB TrustBuilders, a group of area banks – Cortland Bank, PNC Bank, Farmers National Bank, Huntington Bank, Home Savings Bank and Chemical Bank – that support local businesses and “strengthen our community through civic involvement, volunteerism, financial education, and sound operating principles.”

Scott Schulick, the 2015 winner of the civic leadership award, will be the host for the ceremony, held 11:30 a.m. June 5 at The Lake Club in Poland.
